Marimo moss balls are native to the freshwater lakes of Iceland and Japan. They are actually a type of Algae that form into balls as they are swept along with the current. They can live up to 200 years and in Japan are considered a lucky charm and passed down as family heirlooms. They are good for aquariums or just as little underwater plant friends for you. They enjoy indirect light and freshened water in their tiny jar every so often.

  • These are babies from my personal Marimo that I’ve had for almost 10 years, so there is no possibility of the invasive zebra mussels that is currently a problem with new imports
